FLT Reach Truck Driver at Polly Group

We are recruiting experienced FLT Reach Truck Drivers to join or clients busy food manufacturing and distribution site.

This is a Monday-to-Friday position with Day, Noon/Afternoon and Night shifts available. You will work one permanent shift pattern – these shifts do not rotate, giving you consistent working hours each week.

The role will involve operating a Reach Truck across the warehouse and storage areas, including working within a cold store environment where temperatures can reach approximately -20°C.

Appropriate cold-store PPE and protective clothing will be provided, and candidates should be comfortable working in low-temperature environments as part of their role.

Key Duties

Your responsibilities will include:

Operating a Reach Truck safely and efficientlyMoving raw materials, finished products and stock around the sitePutting pallets away into designated racking locationsRetrieving and replenishing stock as requiredLoading and unloading goodsWorking within ambient, chilled and frozen storage areasCarrying out work within the cold store at temperatures of approximately -20°CCompleting daily FLT safety checksEnsuring products are stored and handled correctlyFollowing food manufacturing, hygiene and Health & Safety proceduresMaintaining high standards of cleanliness within warehouse areasCompleting general warehouse duties when requiredShift Options

All positions operate Monday to Friday, with a choice of:

Cold Store Working

As this is a food manufacturing environment, cold store working is an important part of the position.

Candidates must be comfortable:

Working in frozen storage areas with temperatures reaching approximately -20°CMoving between different temperature-controlled areasWearing the appropriate thermal PPE and protective clothing providedFollowing cold-store working and food hygiene proceduresWhat We're Looking For

To be considered, you should have:

A valid Reach Truck FLT licence/certificatePrevious Reach Truck experiencePrevious warehouse, manufacturing or distribution experienceThe ability and willingness to work within a -20°C cold store environmentA good understanding of workplace Health & SafetyGood attention to detailReliable timekeeping and attendanceThe ability to work effectively as part of a teamPrevious experience within food manufacturing, chilled, frozen or temperature-controlled warehousing would be advantageous but is not essential.
