People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Counterbalance Forklift Driver / Warehouse Operative - Hillington, Glasgow to join our well-established client based in Hillington, Glasgow.

As a Counterbalance Forklift Driver / Warehouse Operative, you will work:

Loading and offloading all vehiclesCompleting deliveries and collections throughout Central ScotlandAdhering to all safe working practicesProcessing paperworkBooking in freightSegregating cargoLoading and unloading in line with company code of practice and using appropriate equipmentMaintaining load security whilst loading, transporting, and deliveringComplying with relevant vehicle safety legislationUndertaking training on X-ray equipment and carrying out all associated screening procedures on siteSupporting warehouse operations as requiredEssential Skills:

To be successful as a Counterbalance Forklift Driver / Warehouse Operative, you will need:

A valid Counterbalance Forklift Truck LicenceKnowledge of air freight operationsGeographical knowledge of major UK roadsSound knowledge of the Highway Code and speed limits applicable to vehicle type and road typeGood working knowledge of manual loading, unloading, and securing freightAbility to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced logistics environmentStrong attention to detailGood communication skillsAbility to work both independently and as part of a teamMust have a valid UK Category B Driving LicenceThe following are considered unacceptable:

Drink or drug-related endorsements within the last 10 yearsAny driving disqualifications within the last five yearsAny licence endorsements beginning with IN, CD, DD, DR, or BATraining:
