Due to an increase in demand from many of our clients in the Hexham area, Standby Healthcare is looking to expand and recruit experienced Healthcare Assistants to join our thriving team of agency staff to support care settings and services. We have regular day and night shifts available across the region and so a willingness to travel is preferred.


Due to the nature of our roles, candidates must be a UK resident, residing within the local area. We cannot offer visa sponsorship.


You will need to apply:



Minimum 6 months experience in the UK healthcare sector in a senior healthcare assistant role
UK resident and the right to work in the UK
Ability to complete or provide a DBS - This must be on the online update service
Have a valid UK driving licence & access to a vehicle (Preferred)
NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (Preferred)

About our services


We work with numerous services all over the Northeast region, these services range small to large, offering Dementia, Learning Disability, Mental Health, Physical Disability, and Respite care. Previous experience in these areas would be ideal but is not essential. We are looking for committed candidates that are willing and able to start as soon as possible. The ideal candidate will have a transferrable DBS and have experience working within care settings.
