Description
Aurorium is currently seeking a Logistics Specialist - Temp to join the team in our Liverpool office.
The Logistics
Specialist provides administrative support for day-to-day shipping activity and logistics invoice processing. The role maintains shipment records, supports routine bookings and documentation, tracks deliveries, processes freight invoices, resolves basic discrepancies, and ensures information is complete and accurate across SAP, carrier systems, internal trackers and financial records. The role also performs additional responsibilities as determined by management.
Job Details
Role Specific Responsibilities:
Shipment setup and coordination
Enter and maintain shipment information in SAP, carrier portals, shared trackers and internal systems.
Submit booking requests to approved freight providers.
Coordinate routine collection and delivery details with plants, warehouses, Customer Service, carriers and freight forwarders.
Prepare, obtain and file routine shipping documentation.
Monitor shared logistics inboxes and respond to routine requests.
Track shipments and maintain accurate estimated and actual departure, arrival, delivery and proof-of-delivery information.
Follow up for missing bookings, shipping instructions, bills of lading, commercial invoices, packing lists, customs documents, delivery confirmations and status updates.
Maintain complete and orderly shipment records in accordance with company procedures and document-retention requirements.
Identify delayed, incomplete or inconsistent shipment information and escalate it promptly.
Produce routine shipment-status, milestone-completeness and data-quality reports.
Provide timely administrative updates to plants, Customer Service, warehouses and other internal functions.
Coordinate with approved logistics providers to obtain routine information and supporting documentation.
Maintain clear records of requests, responses, commitments and unresolved follow-up items.
Receive, organize, verify and process logistics invoices and supporting documentation.
Validate invoices against available quotations, shipment records, approvals and supporting documents.
Research invoice discrepancies by coordinating with freight providers, Finance, Procurement, plants and other relevant functions.
Reconcile logistics supplier statements and identify missing, duplicate or unpaid invoices.
Monitor the relevant accounts-payable or logistics-invoice inbox and respond to routine supplier inquiries.
Maintain records supporting payment approval, financial control and audit requirements.
Support monthly financial close by identifying outstanding logistics invoices, unbilled activity and unresolved discrepancies.
Assist Finance with logistics-related audits and auditor information requests.
Process approved corporate-card expense payments when assigned.
Processes corporate card expense report payments within set timelines , ensuring expenses are approved
Performs additional duties as assigned

Education and Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required
Experience:
Experience utilizing SAP is preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to flex own style as needed to influence and drive results
