We are currently supporting a large healthcare organisation in the appointment of a senior clinical leadership professional, who will be responsible for the day to day clinical operations of a state of the art surgical services centre in London.

Key Responsibilities



The post holder provides professional, operational and clinical leadership across Theatre, Endoscopy, Day Surgery Ward and Outpatients, ensuring safe, effective, responsive and patient-centred care.The Matron leads the Heads of Department, maintains oversight of rotas, staffing, workforce deployment, clinical governance, patient safety, quality improvement, internal CQC standards and inspection readiness.Acts as the site clinical lead for patient flow, utilisation, productivity and cancellations, escalating risks and performance matters at Corporate level.Lead clinical governance activity for the centre, maintaining internal CQC standards and inspection readiness across clinical services on site.Monitor compliance with relevant national guidance, including GIRFT, BADS, NICE, NHS England recommendations and professional standards.
Person Specification:

Registered healthcare professional with current NMC or HCPC registration.Significant senior clinical leadership experience within acute surgical healthcare setting.Experience leading multiple clinical departments or multi-specialty clinical services.Experience leading clinical governance, audit, incident investigation and quality improvement activity.
