Job summary Lambeth Operational Directorate is offering an exciting opportunity for a proactive and proficient Inpatient Matron.
This is an exciting post that allows for close working and collaboration with senior management and clinicians in the future development of the directorate. The successful post holder will be based at the Lambeth Directorate and will be an integral part of the Nursing, Quality and Assurance Team.


The successful candidates will have exceptional communication, motivational and influencing skills being able to influence and encourage teams to work across organisational boundaries whilst holding patient care at the heart of their work.


The candidates will need to be passionate about the delivery of high-quality patient care and have experience in leadership. The post holder will be a 'self-starter' and be able to work autonomously as well as part of a multi professional team.

The Matron will provide expert advice, support and visible leadership to all staff driving the quality agenda throughout services.

Desirable oHigher degree oMentorship qualification or EBN 998 Experience Essential oExperience at a senior management level, including managing change and introducing new ways of working for mental health nurses. oExperience of multi-professional collaboration at a senior level oExperience of setting, monitoring and evaluating standards of care. oExperience of working in a multi-cultural environment and knowledge of methods to develop culturally sensitive practice oCurrent experience of relevant clinical practice, especially if working across different specialities oQuality improvement methodology, assessing and teaching.
