£13.00 per hour | Permanent | 25 hours per week

Astwood Storage is a self-storage facility located at Astwood Business Park, providing secure storage solutions alongside a thriving business community. We're looking for a motivated, practical and customer-focused Site & Storage Assistant to join our friendly team.

Salary

£13.00 per hourPermanent position25 hours per weekOvertime availableWorking Hours

Typically Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 3:30pm, including a 30-minute unpaid lunch break.

Flexibility is essential, as occasional changes to working hours may be required to meet business needs.

The Role

This is a varied position combining customer service, self-storage operations and general site maintenance. No two days are the same, and you'll play an important role in ensuring both our customers and business park receive first-class service.

Self Storage Duties

Welcome customers and deal with enquiries in person, by telephone and email.Complete customer move-ins using our storage management software.Prepare and inspect storage units for new customers.Assist customers throughout their storage journey.Professionally follow up outstanding payments.Maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation throughout the facility.Carry out basic maintenance including:Painting walls and floorsSweeping and cleaningReplacing ceiling tilesMinor door repairsGeneral repairs and upkeepSite Maintenance Duties

Working alongside the Site Manager you will help maintain the wider business park by:

Litter pickingSweeping roads and pathwaysWeeding and grounds maintenancePainting and decoratingAssisting with deliveriesCarrying out minor repairsReporting maintenance issuesHelping keep the site clean, safe and professional at all timesAbout You

We're looking for someone who is:

Friendly, approachable and reliablePractical with good DIY or maintenance skillsHappy working indoors and outdoors in all seasonsComfortable working independently and as part of a teamConfident using computers and learning new systemsPassionate about delivering excellent customer serviceOrganised with good attention to detailA full UK driving licence is preferred but not essential.
