We are seeking a dedicated VNA (Very Narrow Aisle) forklift driver to start in Hillington.In this role, you will operate specialized VNA forklifts to efficiently handle materials, load and unload shipments, and organize inventory within tight storage aisles. Your expertise will ensure smooth warehouse operations, accurate inventory management, and timely shipping and receiving processes. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical aptitude, warehouse experience, and a commitment to safety and precision.
Responsibilities
Operate VNA forklifts safely and efficiently to move materials throughout the warehouseLoad and unload shipments with accuracy, ensuring proper placement and handlingUtilize warehouse management systems to track inventory movements and update recordsPerform routine equipment inspections and minor repairs to maintain optimal forklift performanceAssist with shipping and receiving activities by verifying incoming and outgoing goodsSupport warehouse organization by stacking, storing, and retrieving materials as neededMaintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to safety protocols at all timesCollaborate with team members to meet daily operational goals and improve workflow efficiency
Skills
Proven experience operating VNA forklifts in a fast-paced warehouse environmentStrong knowledge of warehouse management systems for inventory controlMechanical skills for basic equipment repair and troubleshootingFamiliarity with materials handling techniques and heavy lifting proceduresAbility to perform basic math calculations for inventory counting and measurementsGood understanding of shipping & receiving processesBasic knowledge of warehouse safety standards and protocols

Hours of work are Monday to Thursday 6:45am-4.45pm
Payrate is £13.70 and after 12 weeks if you are offered full time employment it goes up to £14.90
