Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Operative to join our dynamic production team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse, handling materials efficiently, and maintaining high standards of safety and quality. Duties

Handling materials through picking, packing, and stock replenishment to meet daily operational targets
Operating forklifts and other warehouse machinery safely and efficiently
Managing shipping and receiving processes, including checking deliveries and preparing orders for dispatch
Maintaining accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems
Assisting with stock organisation, storage, and rotation to optimise space utilisation
Conducting quality control checks to ensure products meet company standards
Loading and unloading lorries, ensuring safe handling of goods with heavy lifting when required
Supporting mechanical maintenance tasks and troubleshooting minor equipment issues
Ensuring the warehouse area remains clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety regulations

Requirements

Previous experience in a warehouse environment is highly desirable
Knowledge of materials handling techniques and forklift operation (certification preferred)
Familiarity with warehouse management systems and shipping & receiving procedures
Mechanical aptitude and understanding of basic equipment maintenance are advantageous
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently for extended periods
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in stock management and quality control
Good physical fitness to handle manual tasks such as load & unload activities
Flexibility to work shifts as required; reliability and punctuality are essential
